I’ve been deeply studying the book of Ecclesiastes, and I can’t shake the truths I’ve found. This book hits so hard, especially in a world that’s always pushing us to chase things that just don’t matter. So, I want to share what’s on my heart because I know it can speak to you like it’s spoken to me.
1. Life Has Seasons (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
- “For everything there is a season…”
- Listen, right now you may be in the thick of a storm, wondering when this will end. But I’m here to remind you that God is in control of every season—the joy, the pain, the waiting, all of it. Every season you’re in has meaning and purpose. Don’t give up. God will turn even the darkest season into something beautiful. Trust Him and hold on—your time is coming.
2. Find Joy in Simplicity (Ecclesiastes 3:12-13)
- “Find satisfaction in your work; it’s God’s gift.”
- So many of us are running ourselves ragged, chasing after something more—more money, more status, more recognition. But the truth is, real joy isn’t in “more.” It’s in the simple, daily blessings God has already placed in your life. You want peace? Start by looking at what’s in front of you right now. Take a deep breath, slow down, and appreciate the gift of today. This is where the joy is.
3. Trust God’s Sovereignty (Ecclesiastes 7:13-14)
- “God makes both good and bad days.”
- I know you feel like life’s out of control sometimes. But let me remind you—God is still in charge. He’s the One who allows the good and the bad. Both are in His hands. Your situation might feel chaotic, but God isn’t surprised by any of it. He’s using it, even the hard stuff, to shape you. Trust Him, even when you don’t understand.
4. Fear God and Pursue His Wisdom (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 7:9, 5:3)
- “Fear God and keep His commandments.”
- This is what it’s all about—fearing the Lord. All these other pursuits we get caught up in? They mean nothing without the fear of God. That’s where true wisdom begins—the wisdom to know what’s good and what’s evil, the wisdom to discern the path God has for you. And listen, much anger rests in the lap of fools. If you’re holding on to anger, you’re falling into the trap of foolishness. Let it go. Anger destroys, but wisdom from God will heal you.
- And let’s not forget—a fool is known by their many words. You don’t need to prove yourself by talking more or trying to outshine others. Be careful with your words. Fools talk too much, but the wise know when to speak and when to be silent. Guard your mouth and guard your heart.
5. Enjoy Life, but Remember God’s Judgment (Ecclesiastes 11:9)
- “Rejoice in life, but remember God will judge.”
- Life is a gift! I want you to enjoy it—laugh, pursue your passions, live with joy! But I also want you to remember this: God sees it all. Every decision you make, every step you take, it matters. One day, you and I will stand before Him and account for it. So yes, live fully, but live wisely—live with eternity in mind.
6. God Gives True Wisdom and Contentment (Ecclesiastes 2:26, 5:18-20)
- “God gives wisdom and happiness to those who please Him.”
- You’ve been searching, haven’t you? For peace, for joy, for meaning. But here’s the truth—God is the only source of those things. You’re not going to find it in success or status. True wisdom, true joy, and contentment only come from Him. Seek Him first. Stop chasing the world’s empty promises—they’ll leave you feeling emptier. God is enough.
7. Trust His Timing (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
- “He makes everything beautiful in its time.”
- Waiting is hard, I get it. It feels like you’re stuck in the middle of the mess, and you just want out. But let me tell you this—God’s timing is perfect. Even when it feels slow, even when it makes no sense. He’s working behind the scenes, even now. He will make something beautiful out of your broken places. Don’t lose heart, trust His timing. He’s never late.
Final Word to You:
I need you to hear me. This life is short. It’s like a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. Don’t waste it chasing after things that will fade. Run after God. He is your purpose, your peace, your joy. Everything else is just empty promises.
And if you’re holding onto anger, resentment, or you’re letting your words run wild, it’s time to stop. Fools live like that, and we’re called to more than that. Fear the Lord—that’s where true wisdom begins. Seek Him first, and everything else will fall into place. You were made for more. Live wisely, live fully, and live for Him—because nothing else will ever truly satisfy.
Love,
Galina 💜
