Don’t Let Anger Own You

“Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.” (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Let me tell you something straight from my heart—anger is a trap, and I’ve seen how it destroys people. Don’t let it take root in you. I know life gets tough, and people can push your buttons, but when you let anger settle in, you’re not just hurting others—you’re hurting yourself. Anger doesn’t just visit you, it sets up camp, it sits in your lap, and it eats away at your peace. And the Bible calls that foolish.

Here’s the truth: When you let anger control you, you’re giving away your power. You’re letting someone else dictate your joy, your peace, your thoughts. Anger clouds your judgment, and it will make you do and say things you regret. That’s exactly what the enemy wants—for you to live in regret, frustration, and foolishness.

But God calls you higher than that. He calls you to wisdom, to patience, to self-control. Don’t give anger the authority to take up space in your heart. I’m not saying never feel it—anger is a human emotion—but don’t let it live in you. Feel it, release it, and let God replace it with peace.

The enemy loves to whisper lies into your anger—convincing you that you have to hold onto it, that you’re justified in letting it grow. But that’s a lie. Holding onto anger only chains you to the past, keeping you from walking in the freedom and wisdom God has for you.

I know it’s hard. I know it can feel impossible to let go. But let God deal with the hurt. You don’t have to carry the weight of anger. Trust me when I say—when you let it go, you’re opening yourself up to the healing and wisdom that God is so ready to give you.

Don’t let anger own you. You are too wise, too loved, and too precious to live in the lap of foolishness. Let it go and step into the freedom that God wants for you!

Love,

Galina💜
